WED 3 APR Melbourne to Adelaide
This morning board your plane in Melbourne for your flight to Sydney. On arrival, you will be met by your Tour Host and transferred to Sydney Central Station. Meet with your fellow passengers at Central Station on arrival. Settle into your Gold Service cabin, and perhaps enjoy a drink in the lounge car before joining your group in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant for dinner. Overnight: Indian Pacific (D)
THU 4 APR Adelaide
Continue our journey on the mighty Indian Pacific today before arriving into the Adelaide Parklands Terminal. Once we have disembarked, we will be transferred to our hotel. Check in at the Crowne Plaza, which is centrally located in the heart of the city. Overnight: Crowne Plaza Adelaide (BLD)
FRI 5 APR Murray River
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before joining our Sightseeing tour exploring Adelaide including Colonel Lights Lookout, historic North Terrace, St Pauls Cathedral, Haigh’s Chocolate Factory, with free time to enjoy the seaside suburb of Glenelg and have lunch (own expense) before continuing our tour over the Adelaide Hills and onto the delightful town of Mannum on the River Murray. Here we will board the Murray Princess for our afternoon departure. Settle in to your accommodation before the Murray Princess heads downriver, whilst you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a Welcome Dinner. As we cruise under floodlight to our overnight mooring at Mundarra, you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank. Overnight: Murray Princess - Outside Cabin, 3 nights (BD)
SAT 6 APR Murray River
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a walk to discover Murray Bridge’s historic landmarks and local attractions. This afternoon the Murray Princess heads upriver, mooring at Craignook overnight, where dinner awaits. (BLD)
SUN 7 APR Murray River
All ashore for a guided nature walk. A great way to get a little exercise before the Murray Princess departs for the big river gorges and 90 metre cliffs of the upper river. This afternoon you may like to enjoy a wildlife tour aboard a small discovery vessel. The birdlife is amazing. Late afternoon, photography enthusiasts have a great opportunity to capture a spectacular river sunset, before joining the Captain and Officers for pre-dinner drinks and the Captain’s Dinner and Dance. MON 8 APR Barossa Valley
Following breakfast, the Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where we disembark and meet our coach. We stop at the Mannum lookout before continuing our tour through the Barossa Valley, stopping in Tanunda with free time to wander along the main street. Our tour will then continue onto Jacobs Creek Information Centre for a tour & wine tasting. This afternoon we will be transferred to the beautiful Novotel Barossa Valley Resort where we will enjoy a lovely dinner this evening. Overnight: Novotel Barossa Valley Resort (BD)
TUE 9 APR Clare Valley
This morning enjoy breakfast at our hotel, before departing for our tour of the picturesque Clare Valley. You will have some free time in Burra to enjoy a walk along the main street, before visiting a local boutique winery for some tastings and a tour of Martindale Hall. This afternoon we will arrive back to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Adelaide. Overnight: Crowne Plaza Adelaide, 2 nights (BL)
WED 10 APR Adelaide
Today is free to explore Adelaide at your leisure, perhaps take a walk to the Adelaide Zoo and Botanic Gardens or just relax at the hotel. (B)
THU 11 APR Kangaroo Island
This morning we will have an early departure from our Hotel and driven via the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis, where we board the SeaLink ferry to Kangaroo Island. Highlights today will include Cliffords Honey Farm, Emu Ridge Oil Distillery, Island Pure Sheep Dairy and Kingscote Pelican Feeding. Settle into your accommodation in Kingscote and enjoy a leisurely dinner with our group. Overnight: Aurora Ozone Hotel, 2 nights (BLD)
FRI 12 APR Kangaroo Island
After breakfast this morning, we will continue touring, visiting the spectacular Flinders Chase National Park, including visits to Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Enjoy the Hanson Bay Koala Walk and see the famous Seal Bay, where seals frolic on the beach right in front of us. Return to our hotel in Kingscote this afternoon. (BLD)
SAT 13 APR Adelaide
This morning we are transferred to Penneshaw to board the SeaLink ferry back to Cape Jervis. Once we disembark at Cape Jervis, board our SeaLink coach for a day of touring the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula. Visit Horseshoe Bay lookout for spectacular views, you will have free time in Victor Harbor for lunch (own expense) and perhaps visit Granite Island (horse drawn tram additional expense). This afternoon highlights include free time to wander the main street of McLaren Vale and visit the Almond Train. Late this afternoon, arrive back at our hotel in Adelaide. Tonight join our group for our Farewell Dinner. Overnight: Crowne Plaza Adelaide (BD)
SUN 14 APR Adelaide to Melbourne
Enjoy breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Hotel before being transferred to the Adelaide Airport for your flight back to Melbourne. Return to Melbourne full of great memories and newfound friendships. (B)

Most recently Shirley has worked for Great Southern Rail (The Ghan, Indian Pacific and the Overland) promoting the romance and enjoyment of rail travel on these iconic trains. Prior to this, she was State Manager for 14 years, with well known international coach company, Trafalgar Tours. GENERAL INFO & BOOKING CONDITIONS
Deposit: A deposit of $1000 per passenger is required at the time of booking.
Full Payment for your holiday will be due 65 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 65 days of departure, will require immediate payment. Credit card payment will incur a surcharge of 1% for visa and mastercard payments. Pensioner prices are valid for holders of either centrelink pensioner cards or commonwealth senior health care cards. Senior prices are valid for holders of great southern railway senior cards. Application forms are available from your consultant for this card.
Travel Insurance is recommended to cover the cost of cancellation due to illness, loss of luggage, travel delay etc.
Minimum Tour Numbers are required for this tour to run at the advertised cost. If 20 passengers have not booked by 65 days prior to departure then it may be necessary to either cancel the tour or offer similar arrangements on an unescorted basis
Hosting will occur from the state exceeding 15 passengers. Should the number be below this then hosting will begin from Adelaide.
Share Stranger may be available if there is another traveller of the same sex who also wants to share with a stranger, however should no match be available the single price will apply.
Cancellation fees will apply. Once bookings are confirmed a cancellation fee of $1000 per passenger will apply. Cancellation within 65 days of departure will incur a fee of $1000 per passenger plus any additional charges imposed by principals involved in operating the tour. Therefore, the cancellation fee may be up to the total cost. No itemisation of tour costs can be given.
Refunds are not available should you not utilise any sightseeing tours, accommodation, meals or other service listed as an inclusion in this tour.
Responsibility: The Australian Holiday Centre is the tour organiser. We act only as an agent for passengers in the making of arrangements with carriers, hoteliers and others for the tour. As a result we cannot accept liability for any act or omission whatsoever, whether negligent or otherwise of those suppliers. We do not accept
responsibility for any injury, damage, loss, delay, change of schedule or any other events which are beyond our control.
Limit of Liability: We always do our best to make sure your arrangements are satisfactory, however, most of the goods and services offered in the featured packages are supplied by third parties. We act only as an agent for those suppliers.
To the extent permitted by law, the Australian Holiday Centre excludes all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to physical and psychological injury, and loss or damage to property of whatever nature) that may arise in any way in connection with the offer of goods or services by us or any third parties, or in connection with the supply of such goods or services. If the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) or any similar law implies a condition or warranty that cannot be excluded, the liability of Australian Holiday Centre for a breach of the condition or warranty will be limited as determined by us in its absolute discretion to:
(a) In the case of goods any one or more of the following:
• the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods; or
• the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods; and
(b) In the case of services:
• the supplying of the services again; or
• The payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.
Events Beyond Our Control: We do not accept any liability of whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond its control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.
